Wintersett Res: Yellow Wagtail 1. Common Tern 4. A Water Rail and a Cetti's Warbler were on the west bank.
Haw Park Lane: A juvenile Tawny Owl was calling.
Anglers CP: Swifts were on the move with 255 going south. A cream crown Marsh Harrier flew north from 10.10 to 10.20hrs with another one flying much higher. A Little Egret flew north at 10.55hrs. A Hobby flew over.
90 birds were ringed today: Highlights included:
18 Blackcap 3 Garden Warbler 2 Whitethroat 1 Sedge Warbler 9 Reed Warbler 13 Willow Warbler 20 Chiffchaff 12 Swallow 1 Treecreeper and 1 Jay.
Lepidoptera: A Brown Argus was seen at Moorhouse Lane Pond.
Odonata: Migrant Hawker 1 ACP.
