Snowed In
Didn't manage to get out today due to a fair covering of snow. I had to be content with a bit of garden watching and, having lived at the same address in Stocksbridge for forty years, was very surprised to get a garden tick - a female Brambling. Also present, 3 Wood Pigeons, 1 Stock Dove, 2 Collared Dove, 3 Great Tits, 5 Blue Tits, 1 Coal Tit, 7 Long-tailed Tits, 1 Wren, 9 Blackbirds, 4 Robins, 7 House Sparrows, 5 Dunnocks, 2 Chaffinches, 8 Greenfinches,4 Goldfinches, 3 Siskins and 4 Bullfinches. Quite impressive when you consider the garden is only approx 20ft x 30ft and on the main Manchester road.
