Carlton Marsh

Resident Buzzards 2 and Little Owl, Fieldfare 7, Goldfinch c30. Shelduck immature and 2 Water Rails in aerial combat at Bleachcroft Farm.
Insects included Common Darter 5 and Red Admiral 1 feeding on rotting apple. (Chris Parkin)

A very mild evening yesterday produced 4 moths to my garden trap. Silver Y, Feathered Thorn, Northern Winter Moth and the migrant Dark Sword-grass.
