Song birds today included 1 Reed Warbler, 7 Chiffchaff, 13 Willow Warbler, 3 Blackcap, 2 Whitethroat, 2 Coal Tit, Green Woodpecker and 3 Skylark. A Mallard had 14 very small young on the 5 Lane Ends pond. Butterflies included 2m 1f Brimstone, 6m 2f Orange-tip, 1 Speckled Wood and 2 Dark-edged Bee-fly.
The Oystercatcher is still sitting on a nest at Ferrymoor Flash. (CG).
