Wintersett Res:
A singing Garden Warbler, wearing a ring, on the west bank clump this morning, will be one of our local birds returning. It must be our earliest ever!
A Whitethroat in the south east corner, by the road, is the first of the year!
6 Brambling were in the ruin area.
Shoveler 3 males + 1 female.
A Nuthatch was in Pits Wood. Greylag Goose 1.
7 very small Mallard ducklings were in the north east corner.
Anglers CP:
2 Black-necked Grebes in summer plumage were in this morning.
Common Tern 1 + 1 WRes.. Teal 5. Redwing 1. A Yellow Wagtail flew over south west.
2 adult Little Gulls were in at 10.55hrs.
Lepidoptera:
A male Brimstone flew over Anglers CP car park.
