Anglers CP:
Brambling 1 male on the Pol, also seen in the car park. Lesser Redpoll 3
Redwing 20 + 19 flew west. Pochard 3 males.
2 Red-legged Partridge were seen in the area.
Moorhouse Lane Big Pond:
Pochard 1 male + 1 female. Teal 1 male + 2 female.
An adult male Mute Swan with red leg ring, white letters 686Y.
Wintersett Res.
800 Black-headed Gulls were feeding on insects emerging from the water
+ 200 more feeding on insects on Anglers CP.
Herptera:
2 Grass Snakes were seen in the area, first of the year.
Arachnid:
A spider, Drassylus pusilus, found by Georgie Wightman this morning, is nationally scarce and local, and a very good record for the area!
Coleoptera:
Georgie also collected 51 Beetles. Watch this space!
