Yesterday Sunday 17th new in was a singing Whitethroat (JP) and 2 Oystercatchers visited the wader scrape at 09.40hrs (Rob Lindley).
Today a Cream Crown Marsh Harrier came in low from the south at 13.45hrs and soon attracted one of our breeding Buzzards, which slowly ushered it off site, north (D Standish/CG).
There are now at least 3 Blackcaps and 2 Reed Warblers singing. This evening a Swallow pushed through and a Kingfisher was present.
Butterflies today included 32 Peacock, 13 Speckled Wood, 22m Orange-tip and 3 Large White (C. Parkin).
Cuckoo showed well at Rabbit Ings (D. Standish).
