Getting the bird!

The Sandwich Tern at Old Moor left north at about 10.45. With impeccable timing I was driving from a job in Darfield to another in Hoyland and was on the bypass just as it departed and was thus able to pull into a lay-by and join the party!. Special thanks to those who gave constant and accurate location details over the radio. If you think I was lucky what about the 'Wath regular' who just made it in time after 36 years and 11 months of pain? Still, most of our 'Swich Terns' do pass through in the morning..................

Latest update (per a breathless Chris Harris!): Kittiwake Mere (now departed), Ruff Wath Ings.
