Wintersett 21.03.14

7°C,  sunny spells with showers from midday, with a southerly wind.
Wintersett Res:  Cetti's Warbler 1 singing male,  Buzzard 1 over + 2 ACP.
Anglers CP: Redshank 1, Snipe 12,  SAND MARTIN 17,  Water Rail 2 + 1 WRes., Green Woodpecker 1,  Cormrant 15.  The adult Yellow-legged Gull and the Lesser Blck-backed Gull were in. 
The ringed 1st W Black-headed Gull was recorded today by Dave Lomas. It wore a metal ring on the left leg and a DARVIC on the right leg, white letters on black background VY 14.   Cliff Gorman sent this picture of the same bird yesterday where the ring was unreadable.

First indications are this may be a Danish bird. I'll confirm once we get a reply.
