Old Moor - Saturday 29th March

A slow start today but got better this afternoon. New in is a drake Garganey on the Wader scrape and also a new Mediterranean Gull present on the banking between the Mere and the Wader Scrape. This new bird is an adult with a metal ring but unlike the regular bird it has a full wing. Also today 2 booming male Bitterns, 1 on the reedbeds and 1 on the wildlife ponds. Also 1 Bittern seen in flight on the Reedbeds.
