Wintersett 13.04.14

8°C, scattered cloud,  warm in the sun, but cool in the brisk westerly.
 Wintersett Res: A juvenile Iceland Gull went north over at 08.43 hrs  and then over ACP at 08.45hrs giving all the locals good views.   Cetti's Warbler 1 male.  Sand Martin 180 and then increased to 280 by late afternoon.  Kingfisher 1 (Botany) and Lesser Whitethroat 1 male. 
Big Gulls were moving north or north west. Lesser Black-backed 51,  Herring 42,  Great Black-backed 1.
Cold Hiendley Res: Swallow 20.
Haw Park Wood: Siskin 1.
Anglers CP: An Egyptian Goose, a Common Sandpiper, a White Wagtail and a Dunlin were all new in.  Redshank 1, Cormorant 16, Snipe 2,  Teal 3, House Martin 5,  Goosander 1 W, Goldeneye 6 + 7 WRes.,  Golden Plover 10 (George's field).  The adult Lesser Black-backed and the adult Yellow-legged Gulls came in this afternoon.  There are several Canada Goose eggshells on the islands!
Butterflies:  Speckled Wood 1 ACP + 1 WRes.,  Brimstone male 1 WRes.,  Orange Tip 1 ACP + 1 Disp. Pt. and large numbers of Peacock around the area.
