The Edge 16th Apr

Wombwell Ings mid AM-Present were 4 Grey Heron, 5 Mute Swan, 40 Canada Geese, 16 Greylag, 1 Shelduck, 31 Gadwall, 24 Tufted Duck, 9 Mallard, 7 Shoveler,  6 Teal, 2 Wigeon, 10+ Lapwing, 6 Redshank, 2 Curlew, 2 Little Ringed Plover, 47 BH Gull, 5 Swallow, 1 House Martin, 1 Mistle Thrush, 1 Song Thrush, 5 Skylark, 2 Chiffchaff and 1 Willow Warbler.
Bolton Ings late AM/earlyPM- On the open water were 5 Little Grebe, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Mute Swan, 41 Tufted Duck, 8 Gadwall, 7 Mallard, 6 Pochard, 500+ BH Gull and 2 LBB Gull. Also present were 15 Canada Geese, 12 Greylag, 1 Pink Footed Goose, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Sparrowhawk, 1 Kestrel and 2 Jay. Singing males along  Warbler Way included 15 Chiffchaff, 12 Willow Warbler , 12 Wren, 9 Blackcap, 5 Chaffinch, 1 Song Thrush and 1 Common Whitethroat.
Broomhill Flash early PM-Noted were 2 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Mute Swan, 19 Tufted Duck, 6 Mallard, 4 Gadwall, 1m Shoveler, 1m Pochard, 1Kestrel and 2 Red Legged Partridge.
