Wintersett 28.04.14

After the last few days of ideal weather conditions for dropping good birds produced not much at all.
A calm, hot and sunny day with  blue skies and scattered cloud,  20°C at midday, brought in 4 Little Gulls.  The first two, an adult in summer plumage and a 1st Summer,  flew in to Wintersett Res. from the south at 10.40hrs.  They had gone by 11.40hrs.  Two summer plumage adult birds were on Anglers CP lake at 13.45 and were still present at 16.00hrs.
Also at Wintersett Res:  Common Tern 3.  Singing males: Sedge Warbler 4 and Grasshopper Warbler 3.

Great shots Paul, sorry we missed them. I found 3 Bee-fly around one hawthorn bush near the hide this aft.
