Wintersett Terns, Meds and Cuckoo 22.04.14

Back in wellies today. 9°C, grey, damp start with increasingly heavy showers.  Sunny by 17.00hrs.
CUCKOO was heard on the Disposal Point.
Old Royston Flash Area: Red-legged Partridge 2
Anglers CP:  A total of 17 Arctic Terns and a Common Tern around the area.  2 Adult Mediterranean Gulls flew in at 14.30 and left west at 14.50hrs One was wearing a yellow DARVIC (unreadable) on left leg and a metal one on the right leg.  Yellow-legged Gull adult and Leser Black-backed Gull.  Common Sandpiper 2, Snipe 4, Dunlin 2,  Garden Warber 1,  Little Ringed Plover 1 + 1 over at 09.17hrs., Yellow Wagtail 1 over + 1 NW + 1 ORFlash.   Goldeneye 1 male + a pair on WRes.,  Teal 1 male.

Re the Med Gulls, did you manage to read the darvic number and did the other one only have one leg. They look like the pair from Old Moor.

Could not read darvic but other bird did only seem to have one leg - hopped about rather than walked. Suspect they were your birds. Fitz.
