A good walk around the site in glorious spring weather revealed;- Whooper Swan no sign of the bird that's been grounded on Houghton Washland for the last week (nor any obvious sign of a corpse so hopefully it's moved on) but 2 Whoopers flew north at 08.40. Shelduck 4, Little Egret 2, Oystercatcher 1, Redshank 20, LRP 2, Ringed Plover 3, Common Snipe 3, Common Buzzard 6, Sparrowhawk 4, Whitethroat 4, Blackcap 6, Willow Warbler 27.
