The Edge 24th April

Wombwell Ings mid AM-Present were 2 Mute Swan, 15 Canada Geese, 10 Greylag, 1 Pink Footed Goose, 27 Tufted Duck, 13 Teal, 9 Mallard, 9 Gadwall, 4 Shoveler, 4 Wigeon, 3 Red Legged Partridge, 1 Little Grebe, 1 Grey Heron, 16 Coot, 1 Moorhen, 9 Lapwing, 2 Redshank, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 9 BH Gull, 1 LBB Gull, 5+ Skylark, 4 Swallow, 1 Sand Martin, 1 male Wheatear, 2 Meadow Pipit, 2 Linnet and 4+ Reed Bunting.
Warbler Way late AM- Singing males 13 Willow Warbler, 10 Blackcap, 10 Chiffchaff, 5 Whitethroat, 2 Sedge Warbler and 1 Grasshopper Warbler.
Bolton Ings late AM/early PM-On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 11 Canada Geese, 8 Greylag, 28 Tufted Duck, 13 Pochard, 10 Mallard, 5 Gadwall, 7 Great Crested Grebe, 2 Little Grebe, 43 Coot, 350 + BH Gull and 2 LBB Gull. Also present were 1 Kestrel, 1 Oystercatcher, 1 Barn Owl and 3 Kingfisher.

Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 20 Gadwall, 18 Tufted Duck, 8 Mallard, 5 Pochard, 2 Oystercatcher and 1 Common Sandpiper.
