The Edge 22nd April

Wombwell Ings mid AM-Present were 2 Mute Swan, 3 Canada Geese, 7 Greylag, 1 Shelduck, 14 Tufted Duck, 13 Mallard, 7 Gadwall, 5 Wigeon, 4 Shoveler, 2 Little Grebe, 14 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 15 Lapwing, 1 Little Ringed Plover, 12 BH Gull, 2 LBB Gull, 5+ Skylark, 1 Swallow, 2 Sedge Warbler(corner pond) and 4 Reed Bunting.
Warbler Way- Singing males 12 Chiffchaff, 11 Willow Warbler, 11 Blackcap and 4 Whitethroat.
Bolton Ings late AM/early PM-On the open water were 2 Mute Swan, 10 Canada Geese, 5 Greylag, 28 Tufted Duck, 10 Pochard, 8 Gadwall, 2 Mallard, 2 Cormorant, 9 Great Crested Grebe, 5 Little Grebe, 49 Coot, 3 Moorhen, 400+ BH Gull and 2 LBB Gull. Also present were 2 Oystercatcher, 1 Lapwing and 2 Grey Wagtail.
Broomhill Flash mid/late AM-(per J.Seeviour) Noted were 2 Mute Swan, 21 Gadwall, 15 Tufted Duck, 6 Shoveler, 4 Pochard, 7 Little Grebe, 1 Cormorant, 2 Buzzard, 1 Kestrel and 3 LBB Gull.
