Looking back over recent days. On Saturday 1st September a Greenshank was with a Redshank on the wader scrape at 07.30hrs. The Greenshank left south at 07.45hrs (Dave Smith). Also present 75 Gadwall, 20 Teal, 50 Mallard, 2 Shoveler, 5 Grey Heron, Little Egret, Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail.
Dragonflies on show were, Migrant Hawker 4, Southern Hawker 4.
Butterflies at Cudworth Bridges included 3 Painted Ladies, 1 Red Admiral, 1 Peacock all feeding on the flowers of Spur Valerian. 16 Commas were mainly on blackberry bushes (Chris Parkin).
Today on the wader scrape Monday 3rd
Little Egret, 2 LBB Gulls, 2 Tufted Duck, Green Sandpiper, Kingfisher, 2 Snipe and 10 Canada Geese.
