Wintersett + Gull Roost 03.09.18

17 - 21 degrees with thin high cloud and a very light northerly.  Intermittent showers from 17.30hrs. onwards.
Anglers CP: Golden Plover 1 over.  A Wheatear dropped in at 13.33hrs.  Common Sandpiper 1.  Teal 101.  Shoveler 59.  Wigeon 4.  Common Tern 1 adult + 1 juvenile.  A Sedge Warbler was in east bank reeds.  A Hobby flew east carrying prey this morning.  2 Hobbys were seen later.   3 Green Sandpipers left SE this evening. 
ACP Gull Roost: Yellow-legged Gull 6,  Herring Gull 5,  Lesser Black-backed Gull 167 + 40 on WRes.
Wintersett Res: Cetti's Warbler 1 m in boathouse reeds.  Whitethroat 1 west bank.
Overnight Moth trapping was disappointing.  Numbers were good, but very few of note.
Highlights were:- Pinion-streaked Snout,  Old Lady and 3 Brindled Green.
Lepidoptera: A Holly Blue was on Botany hedge.
