Carlton Marsh

The Great White Egret was back on its favourite island in the scrape when I arrived at 15.30hrs. However, after it woke from its sleep it flew into a more sheltered spot from the cold NNE into some large Willows and was lost to sight at the back. It was recorded here on 8 dates in April, the same number of times that Little Egret was seen.

Elswhere 6 Swallows were feeding at water lever to avoid the wind, a Garden Warbler insisted on singing, along with several Reed and Sedge Warblers and 9 Tufted Ducks were feeding.

The Streamer was in my Cudworth garden moth trap last night.
