Carlton Marsh

Its looking like a very good year for Lesser Whitethroat with 5 singing this morning plus one more in Dave Snith's Carlton garden. We now have up to 3 singing Garden Warblers and a pair of Grey Partridges on the fields nearby. (Jim Plant)
This afternoon on the wader scrape a yellow darvic ringed immature Mute Swan Y229 on loan from Rabbit Ings with 9 LBB and 190 Herring Gulls and 3 Little Ringed Plovers. The latter displaying and chasing around, three's a crowd. 
2 House Martins, 2 Swallows and a Swift flew north. (Dave Standish/CG)


Cudworth Common
Les Corrall had a singing Cuckoo, Reed Warbler, Kestrel and 7 House Martins.
In the Symphony compound tucked away safely Ringed Plover with 3 very small young, a male and female Wheatear and a Brown Hare.
