Wintersett + New Moth for the area! 22.05.20

13 - 19 degrees, warm and sunny  with 5/8 cloud and and a very gusty south westerly wind.  Gusts up to 39mph in the afternoon!
Anglers CP: 7 species of raptor this morning.  An immature Peregrine flew over.  A Marsh Harrier flew east.   Hobby 1 over + 1 over HPWood.  A Red Kite,  in moult, flew west at 12.10hrs. Buzzard,  Kestrel and Sparrowhawk .   Little Ringed Plover 2.  Oystercatcher 2 young.  BH Gull 3 young on small raft,  Mute Swan 10 + 2 WRes. + 4 CHRes..  3 Turnstones were on the shallows 17:26hrs.
Mallard Young: 7 very small  + 8 fledged WRes. +  3 large Anglers CP.
Wintersett Res: Goldeneye 1f.
 Excellent overnight moth trapping produced a new species for the Wintersett area,in the form of a Chocolate Tip.

 Other highlights were:   Poplar Kitten. Glaucous Shears.  2 Alder Moths. Vine's Rustic. 2 Silver Y.
