An evening visit to Old Moor armed with my SLR this time. Stayed until 9.30pm - you can guess the rest!!!
Birds that were seen: Little Egret 5+ roosted, Peregrine 1, Ringed Plover 3, Oystercatcher 5, Green Sand 7, Wood Sand 1 juv (not clear if this is yesterdays bird as apparently not seen through day), Common Sand 2, Greenshank 1, Common Tern 26 (5 juvs) roosted on Mere, Barn Owl 2, Kingfisher 1, Jay 5.
News from others:
Broomhill: Crossbill 2 female/juvs flew north late aft (Shaun Roebuck), Jay 4.
Wombwell Ings: Little Egret 2, LRP 5, Dunlin 2, Greenshank 1, Curlew 2 north.
