Edderthorpe WeBS count for July

Typically its the national counting day and there's fewer birds on the flash than there's been all week!
Highlights from todays count are;- Shelduck 10, Mallard 110, Gadwall 31, Teal 3, Little Egret 2, Avocet 1, Redshank 5, Dunlin 7, Ringed Plover 20, LRP 4, Black-tailed Godwit 8, Common Sand' 3, Coot 54 and Moorhen 54. The juvenile Med' Gull was still present to dark (22.00) last night but no sign this morning.
And at Ferrymoor (that's the pond across from 'Sash') ;- Canada Goose 52, Mallard 138, Grey Heron 7, Moorhen 22 and Common Tern 2. There's not much water left in the pools on Cudworth Common and very few birds remain on here, just 3 young Lapwings which have yet to fledge.
