The Edge 3rd Apr

Broomhill Flash mid AM- From what I could see there were 2 Little Grebe, 2 Mute Swan, 10 Canada Geese, 5 Greylag, 20 Tufted Duck, 5 Teal, 4 Mallard, 3 Gadwall, 1 Pochard, 210+ BH Gull, 3 Snipe and 2 Kestrel.
Bolton Ings late AM/early PM- On the open water were 2 Little Grebe, 4 Great Crested Grebe, 3 Cormorant, 2 Mute Swan, 26 Tufted Duck, 11 Pochard, 4 Mallard, 4 Gadwall, 1 Shoveler, 310+ BH Gull and 2 Common Gull. Also present were 1 Grey Heron, 10 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 2 Oystercatcher, 2 Lapwing, 3 LBB Gull, 1 Kestrel, 6 singing Chiffchaff, 1 Grey Wagtail and 1 Bullfinch.
Wombwell Ings mid PM- Highlights were 6 Little Ringed Plover, 12 Swallow and 1 Wheatear. Also present were 2 Grey Heron, 1 Cormorant, 1 Little Grebe, 94 Canada Geese, 20 Greylag, 5 Shelduck, 120+ Wigeon, 29 Gadwall, 26 Mallard, 23 Tufted Duck, 18 Shoveler, 18 Teal, 5 Pochard, 26 Lapwing, 6 Redshank, 105+ BH Gull, 5 Sand Martin, 4 Pied Wagtail, 1 Chiffchaff and 1 calling Green Woodpecker.
