Wintersett Insects and "Weeds" Catch Up. 10th - 14th June 2014

Look away now if you are unable, or unwilling, to appreciate that living things don't function in isolation! 
10.06.14 
Paul Meredith had a Hummingbird Hawk-moth in his Fitzwilliam garden at 13.00 hrs.

12.06.14  Around the area: 
Lepidoptera - Meadow Brown 1,  Ringlet 1, Small Heath 1 and  Common Blue 2.
Odonata: Emperor 2,  Common Darter 1 and  1,700 male Common Blue Damselflies
Flora: 70 BEE ORCHIDS at a new location in the area.  Also 235 Southern Marsh Orchids and 10 Common Spotted Orchids.

Ange,hope you enjoyed your holiday. Has Pignut in your area stopped flowering now and therefore Chimney Sweeper ended their flight period?
