Carlton Marsh

On the warmest day so far this year (maximum 14.3c) our first 2 Sand Martins flew through along with 3 Swallows. 5 Blackcaps and 4 Willow Warblers were singing and a Kettle of 7 Buzzards drifted south equalling the previous maximum of  7 in 2011. (D. M. Smith/R. Laverack/J. Plant)
A Curlew flew south at 17.20hrs (D. Standish)

A Fox was out hunting.

A Small White butterfly was flying in Les Corrall's Cudworth garden.
