Carlton Marsh

Another nice day with sunny spells and 20c. Reed Warbler had increased to 3 singing males. Cetti's Warbler was very vocal all day near the hide. Birds of prey included Buzzard harassed by a male Peregrine, Kestrel and Sparrowhawk were displaying. 2 Water Rails called and 3 Sand Martins (singles) headed north. (J. Plant/R. Laverack/CG.)

A Red Kite flew south over the Co-op at 09.17hrs and a Swift flew over Bow Street at 13.40hrs (Rod Heeley).
A Male Peregrine flew west over my garden on the Newtown estate at 11.09hrs.
