Fleets Dam, Wilthorpe Marsh, 2/4/18.

Fleets - An enjoyable walk around the dam after an asda visit. 5 Parakeets were at the car park end, 5 GC Grebes, 1st and 2nd winter Herring Gulls, pair of ad. Mute Swans, 2 Chiffchaffs with one taking a food item off the open water surface, something I have never seen done before. Wilthorpe Marsh - Big surprise was the summer plumaged Water Pipit on wires showing well. Also Green Sand, c 80 Linnet down, Fieldfare 19, a record 15 Cormarants perched and 10 weather driven Common Snipe. 3
