Carlton Marsh

New in today on the wader scrape Common Sandpiper. (Dave Smith) Also present Cetti's Warbler (near the hide), Little Egret, 25 Herring Gulls, Grey Wagtail, 10 Willow Warblers, 10 Chiffchaffs, 6 Blackcaps and Willow Tit, all singing.

A stoat was seen on the embankment (Richard Laverack).

Butterflies were enjoying the warmest day of the year so far (21c) Peacock 24, Comma 10, S. Tortoiseshell 16 and Brimstone 4 males. (Chris Parkin)
