13 - 23 degrees with sun and a very light south westerly. The warmest Yorkshire April day since records began.
Anglers CP: Lesser Whitethroat 1 Pol + 1 ruin area, WRes.. Snipe 1. Wigeon 1 m + 1 f..
Wintersett Res: Willow Tit 1. A Sedge Warbler was on the north bank. Goldeneye 3 + 2 ACP.. 3 Bramblings were in sycamore trees in the ruin area.
Lepidoptera: The first Green-veined White of the year was seen at ACP.
Overnight moth trapping produced good numbers of 10 species and Plenty of Quakers.
Highlights were: Pale Pinion, Streamer and Chestnut.
Coleoptera: 2 Nicrophorus humator were in the moth trap.
Reptile: A 1.25metre Grass Snake gave great views at Wintersett Res. - a first here for Wintersett stalwart Pete Smith.
