Carlton Marsh

This morning Keith and I attended Dave Standring's funeral service at the crematorium. Chris your dad would have been very proud of the eulogy you gave about his life. Well done for holding it together mate.
On the way we were fairly sure we had a Hobby over Manor Road in Cudworth at 11.00hrs. This afternoon I looked in the reserve log book to find that Les Corral and Ralph Hibbert had seen a Hobby circling over the marsh at 11.45hrs. (As the crow flies its only a matter of half a mile from Manor Road)
Cuckoo and Cetti's Warbler were singing along with 4 Reed Warblers.

Butterflies included Brimstone, Comma, c10 Orange-tips and 2 Speckled Wood. The day flying Orange Underwing moth was flitting around the top of a Silver Birch.
