Little Egret, Buzzard, Red Legged Partridge singing, Grasshopper Warbler reeling, Kingfisher and 2 juv Little Owls were the highlights for today.
A male Emperor, c20 Green Emerald and 1 Banded Demoiselle were airborne, the latter is still quite scarce here.
Although 3 Gatekeepers were seen during the week none have seen since! However, 3 Purple Hairstreaks were flying around Oak on Wednesday 18th (Chris Parkin)
Cudworth Common this evening - Long Eared Owl 20.45hrs. 30 Greylag south bypassing Edderthorpe Flash. Mute Swan 2 with 1 cygnet, Reed Warbler 1 singing male.
