Cudworth Common

Mute Swan 3 (1 pair with a cygnet less than a week old) I can't remember seeing  a cygnet of this age so late in the season. Other birds of interest were; Redshank alarming, Sand Martin 3, Little Grebe singing, Meadow pipit 9 (2 displaying) Oystercatcher 2 and 4 Yellow Bunting singing.

Symphony: 24 Greylags and 2 Red Legged Partridge.

I digress. It was excellent weather for Cudworth Environment Group's 'Tea in the Park' event today in Cudworth Park. Dorothy Hyman opened the event and brought along her Olympic torch.
A falconer was booked to provide additional colour in the shape of an Eagle owl, Snowy Owl, Harris Hawk, Goshawk, Tawny and Barn Owl. The kids loved them, I did too.
