Old Moor - Friday the 13th

Aquired some wellies and had a visit to Old Moor last night. On the Mere the LBB Gull youngster had a short fly round, 2 Redshank were disturbed by the cattle on the Field Pools. 6 Common Terns were commuting between the Mere and the Wader Scrape where there were 3 Oystercatchers and 130 Lapwings. A quick count of wildfowl on the Main Marsh and Willow Pool included 60 Coot, 37 Gadwall, 27 Tufted Duck and 16 Pochard. The water level had gone down a bit but was still near top of wellies on Green Lane.
