A good start to day when I pulled up in the car park at Broomhill to wader acoustics, as a mixed flock of 14 Redshank and six Black-tailed Godwits passed through. A further six Redshank passed through later this morning apparently.
Old Moor: The water has apparently risen and if you proceed any further than the Mere or Field Pool West hides expect to get wet, even in wellies. The reserve will close at 5pm. Birds so far- Black-tailed Godwit, 2 Common Sands and a Ringed Plover.
