Morning visit to Wombwell Ings; good numbers of Wigeon, Teal and Gadwall in the flooded grasses but pretty much uncountable unless they get flushed out, which they didn't. Best bird was a drake Pintail but also about 200 Lapwings, 100 Black-headed Gulls and a couple of Herrings. Very little in the wind swept bushes.
c30 Waxwings at Cloughfields Road, Hoyland @ 12.45 though mobile (Jonathan Wasse).
Just about to embark on the unmentionable (42B and all that)!
