The Edge

Broomhill Flash mid AM-  On the open water were 21 Mallard, 12 Pochard, 8 Tufted Duck, 2 Teal, 2 Wigeon, 1m Goldeneye, 1m Goosander and 1 Common Gull. Also present were 2 Mistle Thrush, 1 Grey Heron and 1 Mute Swan(on the grass near the sluicegate).

Bolton Ings late AM- After the distraction of the Waxwings in the Old Moor car park,  a Green Woodpecker was the only bird of note on the walk along the TPT to the Cormorant Hide. On the open water of Bolton Ings were 4 Cormorant, 4 Mute Swan+3 Juv,65 Gadwall,23 Pochard, 8 Shoveler, 5 Tufted Duck, 4 Mallard, 2f Goldeneye, 1 Wigeon, 1 Teal and 1 Common Gull. Also present were 1 Redshank and 1 Sparrowhawk.
