Old Moor water
A pretty flooded looking Old Moor, with Wath Ings and Willow Pool one sheet of water and an excellent looking fully-flooded Field Pool which was coated in good numbers of Wigeon and Teal. Waxwings were scattered around but the largest single flock was of 85 in the Playground. At least 8 Brambling were viewable from the Tree Sparrow farm where there were also plenty of Reed Buntings. Several hundred Lapwing were on The Mere with around 70 Golden Plovers and 2 Redshank. 47 Goosander and 2 Goldeneye came in to roost when a Barn Owl was hunting.
