The forlorn-looking Whooper Swan is still here, not doing much except calling frequently;- perhaps the unfortunate bird at Darfield on Friday was its mate? 7 Shelduck, 1 Avocet, 20 Redshank, 340 Golden Plover, 74 Lapwing, 1 Fieldfare and a worryingly high count of 40 Carrion Crows!
WINTERSETT
additions to the earlier post;- a minimum of 19 Common Buzzards including at least 1 moving north-west and the first House Martin of spring blogged around before heading off north-west. A few large gulls were also north bound with;- GBBGull 1, LBBGull 10, Herring Gull 70.
