Old Moor-ning

Wader Scrape: Ringed Plover 2, Black-tailed Godwit 5, Green Sandpiper 2, Common Sandpiper 1, Redshank 4 (2 juvs), Greenshank 2 adults, Med Gull 1 (3 c-y) displaying. A Greenshank had been seen on Wombwell Ings earlier but as I had seen one on Wader Scrape around this time it may be that they joined up (thus 2+ in area). A Green Sandpiper was at Broomhill Flash.
This newly arrived Sedge Warbler at Brickworks Pond came complete with ring. - Jim Thompson

Just shows thi dunt it - the power in the hands of the human species.
Who would have thought that a species of bird in Britain could have been targeted for elimination and the decision to do so would have nearly eradicated the whole population of that species.
At the time I thought it couldn't be done. Wrong again Nudger.
