Bolton Ings - 9th December

Mild this morning at 9c but very windy which meant birds were difficult to count as they sought shelter. Highlight of day was a cream crown Marsh Harrier that dropped into reeds at 12.15 and left over the tip towards goldie fields at 13.20. The Harrier was seen yesterday and is probably the first ever record for December? Duck numbers were average to low apart from a healthy 118 Gadwall and no Grebes were seen at all.
