This reminds me of a photograph I got off the 'history stall' on Barnsley Market.
The photograph is has the title - The River Dearne at Wath upon Dearne.
It was probably taken prior to most of the Wath Main Colliery Spoil Heap and shows a vast area of flooding - it looks absolutely brilliant!!! Very much on the lines of Mission or Wheldrake.
Nowt like a big flood in winter.
Anyway, I'm interested in any old photographs relating to the River Dearne.
If anyone has got any then please let me know.

I was up at Ackworth today and on the way back I called at Rabbit Ings for a chat and a cup of tea - it were chuffing shut.
