Wintersett + Gull Roost 08.02.15

3°C, cold with sunshine and blue sky and a light north westerly.  Slightly more open water in the area this morning but still 60 - 70% ice.  The NW breeze helped Anglers CP to start opening up by late afternoon.
Wintersett Res: Willow Tit 1 and Water Rail 1.
Anglers CP: Oystercatcher 1 and Pink-footed Goose 1 over.
Anglers CP Gull Roost: In complete contrast to last night's spectacular, the roost here was a total waste of time this evening, with very few big gulls coming in and no notables at all!

NB An adult Iceland Gull was at at Poolsbrook CP at 12:30 on main lake per ‏@Linacreblogger

A 2ndW Iceland Gull  was at Orgreave but left NW per @andydeigh

Late news from the York Area yesterday -  An adult  Kumlien's Gull was in a field next to Knapton Lane per@BirdingDad
