Wintersett + Gull Roost 03.02.15

0°C  very cold, but dry and bright with a cool north westerly.  The sun was warm in sheltered areas.
Anglers CP: Golden Plover 5 north,  Buzzard 1 over,  Great Crested Grebe 8,  Little Grebe 1,  Canada Goose 230 and Wigeon 356.  A female Pintail was on the lake this afternoon.  A Peregrine flew over north at 15.55hrs.
Anglers CP Gull Roost: There were fewer big gulls on the lake today, but lots were coming over from Wintersett Res at dark.  Two notables were the juvenile Iceland Gull in at 16.25hrs and the usual adult Yellow-legged Gull in at 17.00hrs.
NB Bar Lane, Knaresborough had 2 Yellow-legged Gulls. an adult  and a 1stW.  At least 3000 big gulls were present.
