Wintersett + Gull Roosts 07.02.15

3°C, cool and dry with scattered cloud and a very light north westerly.  Ice today: ACP 60%, WRes 99%, CHRes. 99%.
Anglers CP: The first Oystercatcher was back on territory this morning, a day later than last year.   Redwing 4 + 10 HPLane,  Grey Wagtail 1 + 1 CHRes.,  Little Grebe 1,  Great Crested Grebe 9,   Grey Partridge 8.  Pink-footed Goose 51 flew NW at 12.12hrs.  A male Merlin flew W at 16.15hrs
Haw Park Wood: Fieldfare 115,  Redpoll 3 and Siskin 8.
Anglers CP Gull Roost had a big number of gulls with lots standing on the ice.   The notables were as follows: a juvenile Iceland Gull at 15.30hrs.  A juvenile Glaucous Gull flew in at 16.45hrs, (looked like last month's bird, possibly returning from Poolsbrook?).  A 4th W Caspian Gull was in at 17.00hrs,  a 1st W Yellow-legged Gull was in at 17.12hrs and the usual adult Yellow-legged Gull  flew in, late as usual,  at 17.27hrs..
