Edderthorpe, Sunday morning

A wildfowl count at Edderthorpe Flash and Houghton Washlands produced;- Shelduck 12, Mallard 100, Pintail 2, Wigeon 165, Shoveler 19, Gadwall 70, Teal 140, Tufted 27, Pochard 14, Little Egret 2, Grey Heron 4, Coot 46, Oystercatcher 2, Lapwing 155, Common Snipe 10. Many of the dabbling ducks were on Houghton (and even more were after Edderthorpe was flushed by a dog walker). Cudworth Common/Ferrymoor had;- Wigeon 7, Shoveler 1, Teal 7, Goosander 2, Grey Partridge 2, Lapwing 25, Ringed Plover 8, Linnet 20.
