Carlton Marsh

Overnight snow gave a covering of about 1 inch. Most of the wetland was frozen over with a thin layer of ice, which meant that most of the wildfowl were either on the dyke out of sight or had left. However, A pair of Shoveler and a Goldeneye duck were still present along with Water Rail, Grey Wagtail and 3 Snipe. Also of note were 2 Fieldfare, 2 Redwing, 3 Siskin, Redpoll and Buzzard.
C200 Pink Feet flew north at 09.28hrs followed by another c200 west at 09.58hrs.
