Wintersett + Gull Roost - Happy New Year 2016

5 - 9 degrees,  frosty start with short sunny spells and a light south easterly. 
A total of 71 bird species were seen today.
Wintersett Res: Cetti's Warbler 2 - north bank and  north west corner Botany,  Water Rail 2 + 1 ACP, Willow Tit 3,  Stock Dove 6,  Yellowhammer 7 and Kingfisher 2.
Cold Hiendley Res: Grey Wagtail 1 and Mute Swan 22 + 4 WRes + 2 ACP.
Anglers CP: Brambling 1 over at 09.06hrs, Barn Owl 1,  Siskin 5,  Greylag Goose 106, Teal 4 + 2 WRes and Little Grebe 4.

ACP Gull Roost: A very good number of big gulls came in close tonight, but just two notables.  An adult Yellow-legged Gull was in early afternoon.  The juvenile Glaucous came in earlier than usual, at 16.10hrs, and gave good views, even perching on a rock in front of the hide.
