Wombwell Ings - The back field was productive with a Buzzard ( dark coloured with a a white chest bar ) hunting for worms/ beetles, 3 Little Egret in the corner near the gypsy camp and 6 Skylark( 2+ in song flight). On the Ings were 2 Mute Swan, 117 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 198 Wigeon, 27 Teal,14 Shoveler, 13 Mallard, 4 Tufted Duck, 2m+2f Goosander, 2m+1f Pochard, 2 Cormorant, 4 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret, 232 Golden Plover, 153 Lapwing, 38 BH Gull,1 Common Gull and 1 Kingfisher.
Bolton Ings - On the eastern pool were 1 Mute Swan, 13m+10f Pochard, 22 Tufted Duck, 6m+4f Goosander, 1m+2f Goldeneye, 2 Mallard, 2 Gadwall, 1 Shoveler, 2 Great Crested Grebe, 1 Little Grebe, 138 Coot, 2 Moorhen, 68 BH Gull, 54 Common Gull and 4 Herring Gull. Also present were 17 Canada Geese, 4 Greylag, 4 Cormorant, 3 Grey Heron, 1 Little Egret flying east, 100+ Lapwing over, 1 female Sparrowhawk, 1 LBB Gull over,1 Greater Spotted Woodpecker, 1 calling Green Woodpecker, 3 Bullfinch and 1 Reed Bunting.
